Graduation News The Class of 2010 Graduation will take place in the stadium of May 28, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. In its forty-one year history, Piner High School has always had a traditional graduation ceremony. This means that we attempt to honor each graduate equally. All students receive the same diploma with due recognition and no distractions. That is the main reason we do not allow graduates and guests to bring noise-makers, signs, balloons, etc. to the ceremony. We ask all guests of graduation to respect and honor our school tradition. We will all celebrate together after the ceremony. GRADUATION TICKETS Each graduate will receive six free tickets if all bills and/or obligations are cleared. These tickets will be issued beginning May 20 in the Business Office for cleared students. ADDITIONAL TICKETS Parents may purchase up to four (4) additional tickets at a cost of $10 each. These tickets will be available for purchase on May 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Business Office. CASH ONLY PLEASE. Please mark your calendars now. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis. Requests for additional tickets will be honored after May 27, according to availability. REMINDER: NO TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE GRADUATE HAS CLEARED ALL BILLS AND OBLIGATIONS. For more information, contact the Business Office at 528-5573. GRADUATION PARKING Plan to arrive early for better parking and better seating. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and admission is by ticket only. There is no reserved seating. GRADUATION ETIQUETTE Guests at graduation need to respect the views of others. We will have an official photographer taking pictures. Picture-taking opportunities will be available before and after the ceremony. It is difficult or even impossible to accommodate the desire of people to take personal or up-close photos or to get near the awards platform. We ask your cooperation and also ask that you pass this information on to guests who use your tickets.
